This puppy was rescued by Magnolia Chapter on January 11. His collar was imbedded so deeply into his neck that after the collar was removed by the Magnolia Chapter veterinarian, she had to place stitches all the way around his neck. He is probably a full blooded Border Collie and is about 6 months old. His growth was stunted by the collar. It appears that he was cut off the line he was tied to and dumped at a rural intersection. Magnolia Chapter is seeking donations to pay for his vet care and he will be offered for adoption when he has recovered from his ordeal. We are also seeking a special foster home for him.  Magnolia has many adult cats and dogs available for adoption. Many times they are overlooked in favor of those cute little puppies and kittens. Please think about taking a second look at the older cats and dogs if you are ready to add a member to your family. They are already litter box or house trained and aren't teething. They are very grateful for a home of their own because they know what it is like to not have one. 

  $50 ADOPTION FEE FOR  CATS INCLUDES SPAY/NEUTER, FLEA TREATMENT, WORMING AND CURRENT VACCINATIONS. $65 FEE FOR DOGS INCLUDES THE SAME.

  Note: We are a "no-kill" foster based rescue. We only euthanize sick or injured cats and dogs that are too ill or injured to save. We frequently pull dogs from Bogalusa Animal Control in order to save them from euthanasia. If we do not find homes for the dogs and cats we take in, they live with us forever.
